A woman hiking at Bukit Dinding in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, sparked a rescue mission after claiming she was being chased by what she believed to be a tiger.
According to a Facebook post by the Kuala Lumpur Civil Defence Force (APM), the incident occurred on September 6. At around 1:03 p.m., the woman contacted APM for help, saying she was lost on the hill and terrified after a wild animal started chasing her.
Immediate Rescue Operation Launched
The woman reportedly told rescuers she was being pursued by a tiger, prompting APM to dispatch two rescue teams comprising nine officers and personnel from the Kuala Lumpur District Operations Control Centre to the scene.

At around 1:36 p.m., the rescue team found the woman. She was in a state of panic and experiencing shortness of breath due to the fear and anxiety she had endured.
In a statement, APM said that based on the woman’s description, the animal was most likely a wild boar rather than a tiger.
The woman was later taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for further treatment.
