We all hate it when someone parks their car indiscriminately, and that frustration only gets worse when they don’t leave their contact number behind.
A woman was left boiling with frustration after she waited for three long hours for a driver to remove his double-parked car and was forced to call the police when no one responded.
Waited 3 hours for double-parked car to be removed
The incident was shared by a woman named Siti Nur Aisah Afandi on Facebook yesterday (Aug 2), where she recounted the infuriating experience.
In the post, she wrote that her car was blocked by a double-parked vehicle near an apartment complex.
“You all see how I can’t get out. I honked for two hours, but no one came out. Then I shouted for about 10 minutes, but no one appeared,” she wrote in the caption.
Left with no choice, Siti turned to the police for help at the nearest police station, who arrived less than 20 minutes later.
Thankfully, the police’s presence was enough to cause the car owner to emerge shirtless before police called a tow truck to remove his vehicle.
“He told me he forgot and parked his car at the spot as there was no available space. He also apologised and said that he was battling cancer.
“I wasn’t mad at him at all. Instead, it was the police officer who got angry,” she remarked jokingly.
Amazing level of patience
Siti’s post subsequently went viral and was shared in various Facebook groups, including ‘B40 Buat Perangai Apa Harini’, where it garnered various reactions from netizens.
‘3 hours?! I can’t wait for even 5 minutes if my car gets blocked of if the owner’s contact number isn’t left on the dashboard.‘
Another person shared how she had to take care of her baby while finding the owner of a double-parked car for more than 30 minutes and urged others to be more considerate and responsible in the future.
