It’s always touching to witness heartwarming moments happening around us, and here’s another one.
Recently, a video of a Malaysian aunty feeding another patient in a government hospital has gone viral, showcasing harmony and love despite their different races and religions.
The video, shared by TikTok user @jamzapparels, shows a heartwarming scene at Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru, where a kind-hearted aunty is seen feeding another patient, highlighting the harmony and love that transcends race and religion.
The short clip shows the caring aunty sitting on the bed of a male patient, carefully feeding him his meal.
The patient, visibly moved by her gesture, is seen wiping away tears of gratitude.
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the OP explained that the patient had recently been admitted to the hospital.
“During dinner, we saw him struggling to eat as he was a stroke patient, so my aunt offered to feed him,” she said, noting that he initially declined the offer because he didn’t want to trouble them.
When asked what prompted the aunty to feed the patient, she revealed that she has no children of her own, and seeing young ones in need makes her sad.
She wanted to make them feel that someone is there for them, offering comfort and care in their time of need.
The video has since garnered over 470.6k views, with more than four thousand comments pouring in from netizens who were deeply touched by the aunty’s kind gesture.
Some even shared their own experiences of facing similar moments.
“Tears fell from my eyes… I remembered the aunty who took care of me when I was in the ward for three weeks with dengue. Her husband was in the bed next to mine. She helped me walk to the bathroom and fed me. A mother is always a mother…”
“When my mom had an accident and broke her leg, a Chinese aunty took care of her in the hospital. She has a really good heart.”
“This is beautiful, God bless you mother.”
In a world often divided by differences, moments like these remind us of our shared humanity and the profound difference that kindness can make.
