Robbed, beaten up, and even losing his passport

Usman recounted the ordeal that led him to return to his homeland, citing relentless harassment and violence at the hands of unknown assailants while trying to make a living in Malaysia.

Working at Sogo, Kuala Lumpur, Usman endured the daily grind in a factory shop until the constant threat of robbery became too much to bear.

On Sundays, there are many motorcyclists. They took my belongings, including my passport, and I suffered. My teeth were punched,” he painfully recalled.

‘Some are good, some not so much’

But here’s the kicker: Usman didn’t let bitterness take the wheel. Instead, he served up a slice of wisdom, comparing people to fingers—different lengths, different vibes.

“Some are good, some not so much. But I’m happier now, thanks to Allah,” he shared with a grin.

What really tugged at heartstrings was seeing Usman, despite his own struggles, handing out bags of food to Ahmad and his pals.

Touched by Usman’s generosity, Ahmad admitted feeling ashamed for not being able to reciprocate adequately, considering Usman’s past suffering in Malaysia.

“MasyaAllah, even in Malaysia, we might not be able to give this much. He was even punched there in Malaysia. In this country, he treats Malaysians in various ways,” he said.

Now an employer with over 100 workers

Turns out, Usman’s story takes a surprising twist. He’s now a big shot back home, employing over a hundred folks and running his own brick factory.
