Thai Woman Jumps From 3rd Floor In Melaka To Avoid Arrest, Still Gets Caught In The End

A woman from Thailand tried to evade capture from immigration officers by leaping off a budget hotel in Melaka but still found her attempt foiled.

According to Kosmo, the 27-year-old Thai woman jumped off the 3rd floor of the budget hotel in Taman Melaka Raya following a raid by the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) at 6pm on Monday (Nov 6)

According to a photo shared by JIM on its Facebook page, it showed the woman clad in a pink dress running barefoot along an alley.

Although she didn’t suffer any injuries after jumping from the 3rd floor, she was still nabbed by JIM officers in the end.

17 other foreign women questioned during raid

Melaka JIM director Anirwan Fauzee Mohd Aini said during the raid codenamed ‘Ops Gegar’, 17 foreign women aged between 25 and 35 were questioned along with two Malaysian men who were their “customers”.

He added the raid was conducted after a report was lodged regarding sex activities offered by foreigners in the area.

“Over the course of the two-week investigation, we managed to raid and question 15 foreign women suspected of offering sex services through WeChat with charges ranging from RM250 to RM350, depending on the package offered.

“Out of the 15 women,  8 Thais, 2 Indonesian, 1 Vietnamese and 1 Laotian were arrested on suspicion of violating visa conditions and not having valid travel documents,” he said in a statement.

Anirwan added customer record books, condoms, birth control pills, and other equipment used for sexual purposes were also seized during the raid.

“A total of five summonses were issued to the hotel manager and customers to appear at the Malaysia Immigration Enforcement Division office in Melaka to assist in further investigations.

“All the detained women were taken to the lockup at the Malaysia Immigration Enforcement Division office in Ayer Keroh for further action under the Immigration Act 1959/63 (Act 155),” he said.
