Tenant And Landlord Engage In Pasir Mas Roadside Fight Due To Increase In Rent

A fight between a tenant and landlord due to a rent dispute took place by the roadside last Sunday (Sept 11) at Jalan Lemal, Pasir Mas.

Yesterday, a video shared by a page called “Info Banjir Negeri Kelantan” showing the altercation involving several individuals has gone viral.

In the video, a man was also seen taking an object out from the car’s back seat to use it as a weapon.

The video has since garnered 2.1k reactions, 981 comments and 165 shares at the time of writing.

Pasir Mas Police: Both parties agree to a truce

Pasir Mas District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Nasaruddin M. Nasir later said that all individuals who were involved in the fight were identified and summoned to the Pasir Mas District Police Headquarters for investigation, reported Harian Metro.

“The tenant had promised to hand over the house keys that day but failed to do so. Hence, they fought with each other due to misunderstanding.”

He added that the incident was sparked by a disagreement over rent and that both parties agreed not to pursue the case any further.

Mohd. Nasaruddin also urged the public not to spread rumours that may cause public panic.
