A total of 9 motorbikes and 4 electric scooters were reduced to a smoldering heap after a fire broke out in front of Suria KLCC yesterday (Apr 13).
Videos of the fire has since been circulating online, where it showed thick smoke billowing into the air as passersby looked on at the blaze.

In a statement by the Fire and Rescue Department, they received a distress call at around 3.46pm about a fire which had occurred near an outdoor parking bay at Suria KLCC.
A total of 15 firefighters from the Jalan Tun Razak and Keramat fire stations were dispatched to the scene along with machinery.
Kuala Lumpur fire and rescue department chief Iqbal Khan Malek Khan said that 13 motorcycles and 4 electric scooters were caught up in the fire.

“Out of the 13 motorbikes, nine were completely destroyed along with four electric scooters. Four other motorbikes only suffered damages of less than 5%,” he said.
The fire was finally put out at 4.04pm and no casualties were reported.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire as well determining the extent of the damages inflicted as a result of the blaze.
