# Son Of KL Sinkhole Victim Flies To M’sia & Pays Final Tribute To His Mother At Masjid India

##### The search for Vijayaletchumi was officially called off by the authorities eight days after the incident due to the high risks and dangers involved in the rescue operation.

In a poignant conclusion to a tragic episode, the son of Vijayaletchumi, who perished after falling into a sinkhole at Masjid India in Kuala Lumpur, returned to Malaysia to perform the last rites for his mother.

The family had earlier returned to India in a state of profound grief, unable to recover her body.

**One month after the incident, the victim’s son came back to the site of the sinkhole to conduct the final rites. **

In a ritual laden with emotion, he tossed yellow flowers into the sinkhole in memory of his mother, symbolizing his last tribute to her.
