Not too long ago, a woman was caught urinating behind a wall at the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex, much to the anger of netizens.
Yet in another case of public urination, this time it was an elderly man who did exactly the same at the same location.
Singaporean man urinates at ablution area
In an 11-second Facebook video posted by Team Cougar Bsi yesterday (May 9), it showed the man clad in a blue collared top relieving himself at the ablution area.
However, his act didn’t sit well with the man behind the camera, who scolded him for defiling the place and showing disrespect.
In response, the elderly man, who seemed embarrassed, said “Sorry” twice rather apologetically and tried to explain why he did what he did.
According to the video caption, the man’s believed to be a Singaporean.

Arrested by police
Not long after the video went viral, it soon caught the police’s attention, who moved swiftly to arrest the man.
According to a statement by Johor police chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat, the 69-year-old man was arrested immediately following a police report at 4.36pm, reported The Vibes.
“Preliminary investigations found that the suspect had no prior criminal record and tested negative for drugs.
“He will be remanded for investigations under Section 295 of the Penal Code for defiling a place of worship with intent to insult another’s religion,” said Kamarul.
Under this Section, the elderly man faces up to two years in jail, a fine, or both if found guilty.
