Getting shot at with a gun often results in wounds that would render one immobilised or gravely injured, but it’s uncommon to see the victim giving chase to the perpetrator after the shootout.
A man in Sibu, Sarawak, was seen on CCTV running after a shooter with an unconventional ‘weapon’ after the latter fired several gunshots at him at a coffeeshop yesterday (Jan 1).
Sibu man gets shot by men disguised as delivery riders
According to the CCTV footage which was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @datukhansem, it showed a man entering the coffeeshop in Jalan Wong King Huo while wearing a helmet and holding a paper bag in his hand.

After walking up close to his target, the man then pulled out his gun and fired several shots before fleeing the scene on his motorcycle as his accomplice also fired several shots as well from outside.

Despite being shot at, one of the victims somehow mustered the energy to pursue the shooters with a plastic chair while shouting vulgarities at them.
Even @datukhansem couldn’t help but marvel at the victim’s reaction, writing in another post, “This person has a different kind of gangster soul. Someone shot at him with a gun but he chased them with a chair.”

I Love Borneo later reported that the two shooters were men who had disguised themselves as delivery riders and injured three youths in the process.
Victims in stable condition
Thankfully, no one was killed by the shootout and all three victims are reported to be in a stable condition, reported The Borneo Post.
Sibu police chief Assistant Commissioner Zulkipli Suhaili said police are currently investigating the case under  Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
