Sometimes you just want to have a quick bite to stave off your hunger for a few minutes, but there are moments when the food is well below expectations.
A man was left feeling cheated after the sandwich that he bought was nothing to what it appeared on display and took to social media to vent his frustration.
‘RM4 for this?!’
In a Threads post, the man posted a photo of the sandwich that he bought, which was sold for RM4.
At first glance, the sandwich appeared to have a generous amount of sardine filling, leading the man to believe that he was getting value out of his purchase.

But when he took a closer look at the sandwich, it turned out that the sardine filling took up only a quarter of the bread slice before the other slice was slapped right on top of it.

This unsurprisingly left the man feeling shocked over a dismal sandwich being sold for RM4.
Reactions
Netizens were equally as outraged by the sandwich, with one saying the vendor was committing a “sin” by being dishonest towards customers.

Another said even hospitals had better sandwiches which had generous amounts of filling and cost only RM2.50.

In a surprise twist, the vendor responded to online criticism, saying that she had been in business for four years.
She also explained that she had thrown out the liquid inside the canned sardine before cooking it until it became thick.
She then apologised for not spreading the sardine filling out equally.
