Whenever we take public transport, there is a row of seats that are specially reserved for a specific group of people such as the elderly, young kids, and pregnant women.
Unfortunately, some commuters turn a blind eye and selfishly occupy these seats just to place their belongings instead of giving it to those who need it most.
RapidKL chides woman who took up priority seat
In a Facebook post shared by RapidKL today, it showed two photos of a woman who was seated at a row of priority seats inside a LRT brimming with commuters.
And if that wasn’t bad enough on her part, she even ‘booked’ an extra priority seat for herself by placing her bags on it.
In the caption, RapidKL didn’t hold back in calling out the woman for what she did, saying that her actions were deemed to be inconsiderate.
Your bag must love the seat, but don’t forget —there might be someone around who needs it more. Let’s be considerate when using public transport okay?
‘Not a new thing’
In the comment section, netizens weren’t too surprised to see the woman hogging the priority seat with her belongings.
Some also claimed that they were met with hostile reactions whenever they reminded such commuters that priority seats weren’t meant for them.
One sarcastically wrote that RapidKL should come up with a sign which read: ‘For humans only. But if you think your bag has a soul, please register your name at Tanjung Rambutan.’
To all commuters, please don’t be selfish and let those who need priority seats the most have it!
