No one likes it when the bus doesn’t arrive on schedule, but it’s not everyday where you’ll get a personalised apology when it happens.
A RapidKL bus is going viral for all the right reasons after the driver took the initiative to display an apology for passengers who waited longer than usual for it to arrive.
RapidKL bus posts apology on LED display
In a 21-second TikTok video posted by @frdsredza.xllt, he was waiting for the bus to leave the station when he saw the message being flashed on the bus’ LED display.
According to the message, it said, ‘Sorry to make you wait so long. I will drop you back to the hostel later.’
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Redza, the student said he arrived at the bus station at 10.15pm, where the bus pulled up 15 minutes later.
He also said that when it was time for the bus to leave, he noticed that many students crowded around it.
“Many had their phones out and when I went to see what was going on, I saw the apology being shown on the LED display.
To be honest, I didn’t feel I had waited for a long time. At 10.30pm sharp, the bus arrived along with the other bus drivers, which made me assume he had just performed his prayers or had some errands to run.
Redza also said that the driver was cheerful and kept apologising to the students with a wide smile on his face.
“It was one of the cutest interaction I’ve had with strangers and this one made me laugh so hard. Also, I did not expect the video to go viral too,” he added.

The clip has since garnered more than 110,000 views at the time of writing, where netizens were tickled by the apology shown on the RapidKL bus.
