The Putrajaya District Police Headquarters conducted an internal special vehicle operation aimed at its own personnel to ensure compliance with traffic regulations on Monday (8 October).
Multiple fines issued to officers
The operation, led by the Integrity & Standards Compliance Division and the Traffic Investigation & Enforcement Division, aimed to verify that all drivers and riders held valid licenses and road tax.

District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Aidi Sham Mohamed told Harian Metro that the operation, which ran from 7:30 am to 9:00 am, involved one officer, eight traffic personnel, and two members from the Integrity and Standards Compliance Division (BIPS).

During the operation, a total of six fines were issued: five for expired licenses and one for driving without a license. Aidi Sham also mentioned that four fines were issued to parents dropping off their children at daycare, and two involved canteen staff.
The objective of this operation is to ensure that the personnel of IPD Putrajaya adhere to traffic laws, such as possessing valid driving licenses and road tax, as well as other traffic offenses,” he said.
He further explained that the operation served as an educational and advocacy measure to emphasize the importance of vehicle compliance with established regulations.
“Additionally, it fostered camaraderie among IPD Putrajaya members in maintaining individual and public safety.”
