We’ve all had rough days in traffic, but one Proton Waja driver in Kuala Lumpur took things a bit too far, ending up in the wrong lane—and staying there.
A dashcam video shared on TikTok by @lansicollector captured the frustrating moment, and netizens had plenty to say about it.
The video shows multiple cars driving against traffic, trying to bypass congestion on a residential road.
While some drivers made an effort to merge back into the correct lane, one Waja driver parked himself firmly in the wrong lane, waiting for the dashcam car to give way.
A standoff no one asked for
For over a minute, the Waja driver stayed put, seemingly expecting the dashcam driver to move aside.
But the dashcam driver stood their ground, forcing the Waja to reverse slightly and awkwardly drive past—still on the wrong side.
Frustrated, the dashcam owner called out, “What’s your problem? Idiot!”
‘If he wants to wait for an hour, so be it’
The video quickly gained traction, and the comment section was filled with both support and criticism.
One viewer wrote, “If I were in his shoes, I wouldn’t give in either… This is my lane, what’s the problem with standing my ground? It’s obvious the others were in the wrong.”
Another user commented, “This Waja driver didn’t even flinch . Nice! Teach them a lesson. If he wants to wait for an hour, so be it.”
A third viewer chimed in, “The Waja could’ve easily switched to the correct lane, but he just wanted to show how stubborn he could be.”
At the end of the day, being in a hurry doesn’t make you above the rules—and this Waja driver’s stubborn act only proved one thing: shortcuts rarely end well, especially when the internet is watching.
