Police on the hunt for man over road rage incident in Kajang

KAJANG – Police are tracking down a man who was allegedly involved in a road rage incident that occurred yesterday (Nov 8).

In a 58-second video that has gone viral on social media, the man had blocked a motorcyclist with his Proton Persona in the middle of the road.

He then emerged from his vehicle and began acting aggressively towards the motorcyclist and even kicked his motorbike.

However, the motorcyclist kept his cool and did not retaliate.

Investigation underway

Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan said that police have been alerted of the incident.

He added that the incident had taken place near Bandar Teknologi Kajang based upon the video’s caption by the uploader.

“While no police report was lodged by either the victim and suspect, we ourselves have opened investigations under Section 323 and Section 506 of the Penal Code for causing hurt and criminal intimidation.

“The public is encouraged to come forward if they have additional information relating to the incident,” he said.

Mohd Zaid also warned the public not to make negative speculations or take matters into their own hands.
