# Penang Vendor Allegedly Chokes Kitten Which Stole Kuih From Stall Until It Defecated

##### A kuih vendor at the popular Cecil Market in Penang was accused of acting cruelly towards a kitten which reportedly stole a piece of kuih from his stall to satiate its hunger.

Not long after the alleged incident went viral, outrage poured in from netizens who demanded stern action be taken against the vendor for his brutal act.

Despite the assault, the kitten did not suffer any life-threatening injuries and is said to be under the care of another vendor after being rescued.

The post also claimed that this wasn't the first time the vendor had acted cruelly towards animals and called upon Penangites to boycott the stall.

A police report was also lodged over the matter by an eyewitness.
