An elderly man was caught on video riding a motorcycle against traffic and colliding with a red car, but instead of acknowledging his fault, he told the woman driver to report the incident if she wished.
According to a video uploaded by the Penang Kini Facebook page today, the 58-second clip showed the incident occurring on Jalan Lembah Permai in Tanjung Bungah.
“It’s a one way street.”
The video begins with the female driver pointing out that the road was a one-way street, and the elderly man, riding his motorcycle against the flow of traffic, had crashed into the front of her car.

The man, who had a cargo rack attached to the back of his motorcycle, angrily responded, saying, “You make it clear. Did you hit me, or did I hit you?”
Despite the damage to the front of the woman’s car, with parts visibly dislodged from the impact, the elderly man refused to take responsibility. He even remarked, “That’s your problem, I don’t know.”
“Go report lah!”
At one point, the man got off his motorcycle to inspect the woman’s car and took photos of the damage.

As the woman repeatedly mentioned her intent to report the accident, the elderly man nonchalantly encouraged her to do so and then rode away, continuing in the wrong direction down the one-way street.
The video has since garnered attention online, with many viewers criticizing the man’s refusal to acknowledge his wrongdoing.

“This is not about being old. This is about the lives and safety of others. If you’re old, just stay at home. Don’t even know how to follow traffic rules, adoi (sigh).”

“This old man has his own ego. Sometimes even if he’s wrong, it’s better for us to just be gentle… No point in arguing.”

“Arguing, but they’re using the national language… awesome… 1 Malaysia”
