It’s a well-known fact that smoking inside restaurant premises is prohibited, yet some people still don’t seem to get the message.
Recently, an incident at a kopitiam in Negeri Sembilan shows an angry customer throwing a coffee cup on the floor after being told by staff not to smoke at premise.
This moment was shared by X user @update11111, who posted a CCTV recording of the confrontation that took place at the restaurant.
The video, lasting just over two minutes, shows two customers sitting at the entrance of the kopitiam, each having a cup of coffee.
At one point, a staff member approached the duo, seemingly informing them about something, though the exact conversation was inaudible in the footage.
Moments later, one of the customers, wearing a green shirt, smashed his coffee cup on the ground before they swiftly left the scene.
In the caption, the OP wrote, “He got angry when told not to smoke… Still smoking inside the restaurant. Then he just broke the coffee cup like that.”
This post instantly garnered the attention of many, who shared their thoughts.
“Smokers who think it’s okay to smoke inside a restaurant really have no sense.”
“This is why many eateries refuse to sell cigarettes. Smokers, please be considerate. Not only does smoking harm you, but it also endangers those around you.”
“There are still people stupid enough to smoke inside a restaurant.“
