What started off as a simple request by a woman to satisfy her crab cravings escalated into a full-blown fight with her husband over finances.
On top of that, she claimed that her husband even told her to quit her job and refused to share the financial burden with her.
Asked husband to buy crab
According to mStar, the woman shared on social media that she had approached her husband and asked him to buy her some crab on his payday.
To her shock, her husband responded by telling her to quit her job and told her that her debts were her own problems, not his.
“The debts are my PTPTN loan and motorcycle instalments. My husband’s the one who uses He’s the one who uses the motorcycle, but he told me: ‘Your debts, you pay them. You’re the one who took on the debts, so why should I pay for it?’
“He said I could take on several jobs that would allow me to work from home and pay off my debts. He also added that he would only provide for my living expenses,” she lamented.
Disappointed by husband
Crushed by her husband’s reaction, the woman said she had sacrificed a lot throughout their marriage and was saddened to see him disregard her in such a manner.
“All this time, I have sacrificed much of my belongings for him. I don’t even have any gold jewellery left as I sold them off to ease his financial burdens. Despite this, this is how I get treated by him.”
A majority of netizens advised the woman not to give in to her husband’s demand of quitting her job, saying it would cause her to rely fully on him financially in the future.
Another suggested that she “quit” her husband instead of her job so that she could have a peace of mind.
