At the beginning of this month, the whole of Malaysia was shaken by the tragic news of a 13-year-old girl who plunged from the 8th floor of Kuen Cheng High School in KL.
Since then, the family of the victim has been receiving an outpouring of support and condolences funds from the public as they work to move on from the tragedy.

RM80K in condolences funds to be donated
In a Facebook post shared by the victim’s father yesterday (Oct 16), he wrote that the family had received a total of RM80,000 in condolences funds from the public during their daughter’s funeral.
However, instead of keeping all of the money for themselves, he wrote that it will be donated to various entities, such as Kuen Cheng School Educational Fund and Scholarship for Underprivileged Students, orphanages and old folks homes, and Buddhist temples.
We hope that her kindness and love, which she carried during her lifetime, can continue to be shared with society through these donations, and may she find peace in another world.

“This is not only to remember her, but also a hope that her kindness and beauty will continue to inspire others,” he wrote.
The victim’s father then ended the post by thanking those who had generously offered them their support and money during the tragedy, adding that their kindness will “forever be etched in our hearts”.
Shortly after the tragedy went viral on social media, the victim’s parents have publicly come forward to shed more light on the incident:
