13yo M’sian Girl Falls From 8th Floor Of KL School Building, Leading To Her Death

Police and the school have since confirmed the incident.

A Form 1 student tragically lost her life after she plunged several floors down at a school building in KL, sending shockwaves among Malaysians.

The incident was later confirmed by both the school and police, who shed further light on what happened yesterday evening (Oct 1).

According to Sin Chew Daily, the unnamed 13-year-old was living at a hostel located within the school and had posted a video on social media before her untimely death.

In the clip, she purportedly told her friends how grateful she was to have them in her life before ending the clip with these harrowing words:

I love all of you. All I wanted to say is goodbye. I’m very thankful for all of you. Goodbye.”

Brickfields district police chief Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood confirmed the incident to Oriental Daily, saying that the victim had fallen from the 8th floor of the school building.

He said the case has been classified as sudden death (SDR) and that police are investigating, including rumours that the victim had taken her own life.

School releases statement on incident

Meanwhile, the school released an official statement, where it confirmed that the tragedy had indeed occurred within its grounds.

In the statement, the school said that as soon it received word about the incident, it immediately contacted the relevant authorities. Sadly, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers.

“The school is deeply saddened by the student’s passing and extends its most sincere condolences and care to the family.

“To prevent this incident from causing psychological stress to other students, the school’s counselors will continue to provide psychological support and emotional guidance,” it said.

The school also urged netizens not to speculate further on the case out of respect for the victim’s family.

Additionally, the victim’s sister called upon netizens to stop sharing the clip of the victim on social media.
