Getting your car scratched or dented is already frustrating enough, but what made this incident go viral was the unexpected apology left behind by the person believed to have caused it.
A Malaysian man recently took to Threads to share photos of his damaged white car after discovering a handwritten note and RM100 tucked under the door handle.
Left RM100 with a note
In the post, the man uploaded two photos showing visible scratches and dents along the side of his car.
Attached to the car door was a handwritten note believed to be from the person responsible for the accident.

Part of the note read:
Hi I’m so sorry. I’m an 18-year-old girl with little experience in driving.”
The writer also apologised for scratching the vehicle and left RM100 together with the note.

Netizens divided over the RM100 compensation
The post quickly gained attention online, with many netizens reacting to both the apology and the extent of the damage shown in the photos.
While some praised the girl for taking responsibility instead of running away, others pointed out that the repair costs would likely be far more than RM100.
