While accidents occur when we least expect it, it takes lots of courage for one to not only admit fault but to also offer compensation for damages caused.
A woman was left feeling touched and impressed by a fresh graduate’s sense of responsibility after the latter accidentally hit her husband’s car.
Said sorry & left cash
According to the viral Threads post, Nurjihayazid shared two photos showing scratch marks left on her husband’s car, a handwritten note, and several RM50 banknotes.

Here’s what the note said:
“Assalammualaikum Sir/Madam, I sincerely apologise for scratching your car. I accidentally pressed the accelerator while trying to park. I was using my cousin’s car, and I was very scared.
“I’m really sorry. I had no intention of running away as I panicked. I’ve left some money to help cover the damage. I’ve also just recently graduated.
“I’m sorry for damaging your car and I hope you are willing to accept the money. I’m also sorry that I’m too afraid to meet you face-to-face. I’m leaving this note to apologise to you.”
Hopes to meet person who left note
In a brief conversation with WeirdKaya, Nurjihayazid said the accident took place last Thursday (Apr 30) at the visitor parking area of her apartment.

When asked what was her reaction when she saw the apology note and cash, Nurjihayazid said she felt surprised and touched.
She was a fresh graduate, but yet she still had such a strong sense of responsibility. This was what made it all the more touching.”
She added that she has yet to track down the person who gave the note and cash as she didn’t leave her phone number behind.
Nurjihayazid also had a special message for the person, saying:
“I want you to know that we, as the car owners, are not upset with you at all because your actions showed how pure hearted and responsible you are. If you happen to see this post, please send me a DM.”
