The new Omega x Swatch collaboration that was launched yesterday (27 March) received overwhelming responses all around the world.
In Malaysia, long queues were seen at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur as Malaysians flocked to the stores to get their first hands-on of the watches.

Appeared on Carousell within a few hours
Not long after the launch, many scalpers have already listed the watches on Carousell, with prices ranging from RM2,200 to RM8,000.
According to Swatch, the original price for the watch in Malaysia is RM1,065.
In one of the listings, we can see that some scalpers managed to get quite a number of watches during the launching day in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
However, the highest one is listed for RM8,000 – almost 8 times higher than the retail price.
On the flip side, the average buying price is around RM2,000, according to Carousell listings.
Fake listings to warn buyers
Besides, Swatch also announced that the Omega x Swatch Bioceramic MoonSwatch Collection is not limited edition and it will be available for retails and online soon.
Some also created fake listings to warn the buyers who are planning to buy one from scalpers.
One Carouseller also advised all the potential buyers to not support scalping behaviours by purchasing it at a higher price.
“Let’s do our part to not support scalping behaviours by avoiding purchases higher than the retail price.
Together we can put an end to scalping and give back the power of genuine fans and purchases to own and appreciate the masterpiece.”
