##### A woman sparked online fury after a viral video showed her reserving a public parking space.

## Blocked the spot by standing in it

In the now-viral clip, the woman is seen physically standing in an empty parking spot to “chop” it, preventing others from parking there.

She appeared to signal to a vehicle, believed to be her own, directing the driver to park in the space she had blocked from others.

Towards the end of the video, a car is seen pulling into the very spot she had been blocking.

The video, which was shared by the OP [@suzzanneanton](https://www.tiktok.com/@suzzanneanton/video/7522434511620017415), instantly went viral on TikTok and drew sharp criticism from netizens.

## OP claims woman refused to let anyone park

**Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, **the OP said the incident happened on 2 July, while she and her child were looking for parking.

> **There was a Vellfire trying to park at the spot the woman was reserving, but she didn’t allow it. We couldn’t hear what the Vellfire driver said, but he drove forward a bit, then reversed,” she explained.**

She added that although two other cars attempted to take the same spot, the woman still refused to let them in.

**“I ended up parking on the left side,”** the OP shared.

## “No manners” – OP criticises the woman’s actions

The OP revealed that she began recording because she felt the woman’s actions were inappropriate.

**“To me, that was really lacking in manners. That’s why I recorded it,” **she said, adding that the vehicle the woman was reserving the space for was believed to be her husband’s car.
