This year’s Merdeka celebration in Kelantan has featured an unexpected star.
None other than a mischievous K-9 dog from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) decided to be a prankster at the Merdeka celebration.
Sharing the hilarious incident through her TikTok account, user @cikbungalofaa posted a video featuring an energetic black K-9 dog that made an unexpected run after its Merdeka Day performance, which was held at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
The K9 couldn’t control its excitement
“A K9 dog made a daring escape, sprinting around the field while clutching a scroll. Wait for the last part okay,” he wrote
Speaking to WeirdKaya, she explains that the police have tasked the K-9 dog to find something that has been hidden.
She said that after the dog successfully found the hidden item, the Labrador Retriever took the opportunity to run away with the scroll in its mouth.
“Everyone cheered after the dog found the scroll, and perhaps this caused the dog to become overly thrilled and ran freely in the middle of the crowd.”
With its tail wagging left and right, the black K-9 dog savored its moment in the spotlight.
Highlight of K-9’s act
But just as the dog was about to make a mess in front of the crowd, the officer stepped in by putting the leash on and taking the fur baby back to the spot.
