The incident, captured in a 28-second dashcam footage shared by TikTok user Munirah (@msmunirah), showcases a black Toyota Voxy MPV being rear-ended by a grey Perodua Myvi at approximately 7 a.m.

The footage, which quickly circulated among concerned netizens, vividly illustrates the moment of impact as the grey Myvi fails to halt in time, crashing into the rear of the black Voxy.
Shockingly, the Myvi driver, instead of stopping and taking responsibility, fled the scene without filing a police report.
Netizens rally to identify responsible party
Munirah, who shared the footage, took the initiative to report the incident to the authorities and sought assistance from the online community to identify the owner of the black Toyota.
The response from netizens was swift, with many expressing their outrage towards the reckless actions of the Myvi driver and stressing the need for heightened caution on the Elite Highway.
Commuters share near-misses and close calls
Commenting on the video, one user highlighted the prevalence of emergency braking situations on the Elite Highway, urging fellow motorists to remain vigilant.
“On the ELITE Highway, there’s a high tendency for emergency braking. Please be vigilant, as I’ve experienced it myself”.
Another user shared a harrowing personal experience, recalling a similar incident where sudden braking caused their brakes to malfunction while cruising at high speeds.
“I’ve encountered a similar situation before. I was cruising at 140 km/h when suddenly my brakes ‘jammed’. My brakes were literally smoking. Thankfully, there were no serious consequences,” the user recounted.
