In a trend that has seen rich influencers frequently making headlines for having their luxury cars delivered in transparent trucks, this time even a more affordable civilian car can enjoy such a VIP treatment.
A recent video circulating on Xiaohongshu is giving a Proton Saga its moment in the limelight, and it’s garnered quite the buzz.
The clip showcases the well-loved, budget-friendly Proton Saga being delivered in a transparent truck, a luxury usually afforded to much pricier vehicles.
First time receiving such a request for a Proton Saga
WeirdKaya reached out to the video owner who showcased the Saga enjoying this rare privilege.
“Indeed, this is a first in our experience,” they shared, adding that many in the car sales industry have not encountered such requests due to the hefty costs involved.
This service, while lavish and clearly offering a new level of ‘unboxing joy’ to customers, comes with a hefty price tag, turning the delivery of a new car into a ceremonious event.
When asked about the usual price range of cars that this service caters to, he said, “We believe that most new car manufacturers don’t offer this kind of service because even for high-end brands like Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche, they have their own lorries to deliver cars to customers’ homes — not in these transparent glass types.”
The car seen in the video journeyed from KL to JB, a route that levied a charge upward of RM 4,000, borne entirely by the customer.
Netizens who spotted the truck on the road couldn’t resist sharing the unusual sight.
The humble yet reliable Proton Saga was spotted enjoying a VIP treatment, encased in packaging usually reserved for luxury vehicles.
Saga: Never thought I’d get a chance to flex this hard! #Blessed.
