Despite the current economic climate, the vehicle rental industry remains unaffected, experiencing a surge in demand during the festive season, as individuals prioritize comfort for their long journeys back to their hometowns.
Fully booked for Raya
For those with a penchant for style, luxury vehicles such as the Ford Mustang, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes G63, Porsche, and Lamborghini are available for rent, ranging from RM1,500 to RM5,000 per day.
Expatriates tend to book these luxury vehicles for longer periods, up to a month, during their holiday returns, indicating a fully booked fleet for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration.
Started with own vehicles
Hafiz Johari, 39, owner of Dino Car Rental, shared insights into the resilient demand for rental services, especially during festive periods and school holidays, a pivot he made after his electrical business ceased during the Movement Control Order (MCO).

According to Harian Metro, Hafiz embarked on this venture over two years ago with seven partners, initially starting with his own vehicles, a Perodua Axia and Perodua Bezza.
Recognizing the potential, he and his partners expanded their services to include chauffeur-driven vehicles.
Dino Car Rental now offers six categories of vehicles, ranging from budget-friendly options at RM100 per day to luxury vehicles at RM5,000 per day, catering to different customer capabilities.
