A recent road repair in Bukit Baldwin, Tapah, has sparked frustration among locals after a pothole, which was supposedly fixed, reappeared less than a day later.
The Tapah Media Official Facebook page raised concerns over the quality of the repair work carried out by local authorities, drawing attention to the issue.
A Temporary Solution?
On 2 September, Tapah Media Official posted an update announcing that the pothole at Bukit Baldwin had been repaired.
“Road repair works are being carried out at Bukit Baldwin in front of Agro Bank Tapah.” the wrote in the caption.
However, just 24 hours later, they posted again, sharing that the same road had already become damaged.
“Less than 24 hours, the road that was repaired yesterday is damaged again.” they captioned the post.
Public Reactions
Local residents shared their thoughts in the comments, with several voicing concerns over the quality of the work.
“Just a few hours after the patching, the road is already in bad shape again. The contractor’s work is subpar.”
“That’s all it is—just a thin layer. It will probably be ruined again in 2 or 3 days.”
“We kindly request the Tapah City Council, along with Jasa Kepada Rakyat Tapah, to take immediate action to repair the damage for the benefit of the people.”
