Some have reservations, claiming that the current system lacks significant upgrades, and the toll plaza lines will remain jammed as users still need to touch the screen using debit cards.

They argue that an Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) system similar to Singapore’s would be more beneficial in the long run.

Another point of contention is the absence of American Express (AMEX) support for toll payments.

One wrote: “Why no AMEX? I have MasterCard and Visa, but I prefer to use AMEX. Malaysia should recognize AMEX’s popularity like other countries do.”

Others are worried about potential delays in debit card approvals, drawing a parallel to the current parking system, which could lead to frustration among users if access is slow.
