Helping the voiceless is undoubtedly one of the most noble things anyone could ever do.
Recently, a heartwarming rescue mission in Malacca touched the hearts of many, as a group of Malaysians came together to save two cats trapped in the river.
The video, shared by TikTok user @skinpies, captured the emotional moments of the rescue, and it quickly went viral.
In the first clip, one man is seen lying down on the riverbank, while another holds him steady to safely lower him into the corner of the river.
With steady hands, the man pulls out a grey cat from the water, much to the relief of onlookers.
The second video shows the same rescue technique, but this time, another man joins the team.
Together, they work to pull out an orange cat that had been trapped in the river.
The voice of the person filming can be heard in the background, expressing gratitude for the help: “Thank you, brother!”
Netizens were quick to show their appreciation for the kind-hearted rescuers. Comments flooded in, with many offering their thanks and well-wishes.
One user wrote, “Thank you, good people… may good things come back to those who helped.”
Another simply said, “Thank you, good people.”
The courage of these Malaysians didn’t go unnoticed, especially considering the potential dangers lurking in the river.
As one netizen pointed out, “Lucky they managed to save them. The river often has big monitor lizards, pythons, and sometimes even crocodiles.”
