Commuters will continue to enjoy free rides on Rapid KL’s Shah Alam Line until 14 Aug 2026.
Rapid KL announced the extension in a media statement on 31 July, saying it would give more passengers the opportunity to try the new public transport system.
The line connects Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang.

Free feeder buses and Park N’ Ride facilities included
During the extended period, passengers can travel on the Shah Alam Line for free.
The offer also includes its feeder bus services and Park N’ Ride facilities at the stations.
Rapid KL said the initiative would allow commuters to familiarise themselves with the new line while helping to reduce their daily travelling expenses.
Thousands of passengers have reportedly used the service during the initial free travel period.
Commuters encouraged to plan their journeys
Rapid KL encouraged passengers to plan their journeys in advance and follow all rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and smooth trip.
The operator hopes the extension will encourage more people to use public transport for their daily commute.
The free travel period will end on 14 Aug.
