As dishes started arriving at their table, the trio found themselves in awe as plate after plate filled their once-spacious dining surface. Tommy, the account owner, shared their astonishment in a TikTok video caption, admitting his surprise at the influx of orders.

“When someone from Sabah mistakenly orders in KL (Kuala Lumpur). (Our) face is surprised because the orders are still coming. In total, there are 28 bowls. We had to finish them all,” Tommy recounted in the video.

Speaking to WeirdKaya, Tommy shared to us that the restaurant staff couldn’t help but notice the funny side of the situation either.

“Their reaction was pretty surprised since there were only three of us,” Tommy explained. “But we’re the type to roll with the punches, so we just laughed it off and enjoyed the moment.”

Tommy further clarified in regards to the incident:

“We don’t really have any problem with the food,” Tommy clarified.

“Since we’re Sabahan, we were going to celebrate the harvest festival. The theme for our Harvest festival, also known as ‘Pesta Kaamatan,’ was ‘Kaamatan beyond food security.’ So we decided to finish all the food to respect the theme for this year.”

Tommy also shared some advice to others who might find themselves in a similar situation, and it’s pretty straightforward:

“Please double-check your order before placing it, especially if it’s your first time. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.”

‘I think they’re mukbang influencers’
