This morning, a 37-year-old man was killed after he became trapped in a stone crusher machine at a road tar processing factory in Ibraco, Jalan Express Way, Sarawak.
Victim confirmed dead at the scene
According to Berita Harian, the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said the incident occurred at about 9.30am, where its Operations Centre received an emergency call at 9.40am.

The victim was identified as Syahmizi Abu Bakar, a worker at the factory.
A team of six firefighters from the Kota Sentosa Fire and Rescue Station was immediately dispatched to the location.
When the team arrived, they found Syahmizi trapped in the fan section of the stone crusher machine.
Firefighters first attempted to loosen the machine’s fan nuts to release him but were unsuccessful.
With the help of factory workers, they pushed the machine’s fan and managed to free the victim at 11.33am.
Medical personnel from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) later confirmed that Syahmizi had died at the scene.
His body was subsequently handed over to the police for further action.
