With Malaysia’s food prices skyrocketing, brace yourself for yet another jaw-dropping surprise that will leave you speechless and amused.
Recently, a Malaysian woman found herself stunned by the size of the fruit she had bought—it was not even close to 1.5 cm thick.
Taking it to a Facebook group JB 新山吹水站2.0, she shared few photos of the shockingly thin slice of honeydew she had purchased.
In one photo, she held the wafer-thin fruit, and in another, she took things a step further by measuring its thickness with a measuring tape.
It’s evident that the honeydew slice measures a mere 1.1 cm in thickness.
In her caption, she couldn’t resist tipping her hat to the vendor’s seemingly magical knife skills.
“Even fruit prices are rising? Impressive knife skills, respect!” she wrote.
Netizens were amused
“You’re the first person to measure fruit with a ruler. I’m impressed, haha!”
Another netizen pointed out the exorbitant prices of fruit sets nowadays.
“Honestly… buying a piece of fruit outside nowadays… it’s really expensive… and you hardly feel like you’ve eaten any fruit.”
“Seeing such a situation, I’d rather not eat.”
