We all know how bad traffic can get during the rush hour or holiday season, especially if you’re living or working at major cities like KL. However, have you ever gotten stuck inside a mall for hours just because of traffic?
This was what one Malaysian woman found herself in after she was caught in a horrible jam inside the parking lot of mall in Johor Bahru, which left her fuming.
M’sian woman gets stuck inside JB mall for close to 2 hours
In a 16-second clip shared to TikTok by @muthammah2124 on Friday (Mar 29), it showed her unable to drive her car out of Southkey Midvalley’s parking lot due to a horrible jam.
Other drivers were equally as frustrated as well, where they could be heard blaring their horns away.
According to the in-text-caption, @muthammah2124 had been lining up in the parking lot from 10pm to 11.45pm, meaning that she had been stuck for close to two hours.
Her frustration over the jam was rather palpable in the clip, where she is heard saying in the background:
People ask me to work in KL, I said no because traffic is bad. But when I work in JB, the traffic is also like trash! Rubbish!
It’s not known how long more she had to wait before exiting the mall but based on the clip, we guess that it was a long one!
Long holiday to blame?
The clip has since garnered more than 400,000 views at the time of writing and hundreds of comments from netizens.
One speculated that the jam was due to the Good Friday long weekend for Singaporeans, leading them to head over to JB to do some Raya shopping.
Another netizen suggested that the OP opt to take public transport or walk next time as it was healthier and has no traffic jams.
Meanwhile, this netizen shared how she found herself in a similar situation as well.
‘I kena once before. I parked my car back into the parking lot, turned off the engine, wound down the window, and set an alarm for 1 hour 30 minutes. (I) slept. Woke up to find (the traffic) clear and went home.’
