After a day of shopping, the last thing anyone expects is to be trapped inside the parking lot. However, this was precisely the misfortune faced by a woman in Kuantan.
Not only did she find herself unable to get out from there, but she had to wait for three hours in agony before she was finally able to leave.
Stuck at Kuantan City Mall’s parking lot for 3 hours
In a TikTok video posted by a woman named Arya, it showed her car being part of long queue which stretched for several metres as numerous cars were waiting for their turn to pay their parking ticket and leave.
In the video, Ayra was seen sitting inside her a car during a standstill at the mall’s parking lot, where she jokingly wrote in the caption: ‘Everyone gets stuck in a jam on highways for three hours, I got stuck inside the mall’s parking lot.’
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Ayra explained that she was on her way back home after running some errands at Kuantan City Mall.
When she was about to leave the mall, she realised that traffic came to a complete standstill inside the parking lot.
There was a combination of factors for the jam. First, there were issues with the Touch ‘n Go payment method at the parking ticket machines. Second, the heavy rain affected traffic flow. Third, there was another congestion along a road near the parking lot.
“Many parents had to take their kids to the nearest toilet while waiting for hours in the jam,” she said.
Thankfully, the mall’s management resolved the issue by repairing the parking ticket machines and opened the emergency lane, allowing traffic flow to ease up.
