M’sian Woman Spotted Trying To Block Moving Car Near Traffic Light In Viral Video

Dangerous.
We all have been taught on how to keep ourselves safe while on the road, and using your own body to stop a moving car is definitely NOT one of it.

A woman was recently spotted doing exactly this in a clip which has since gone viral on social media.

According to the 33-second clip shared on Twitter, it showed the woman clad in a yellow baju kurung attempting to stop a black Proton Wira from moving near a traffic light.

As she clung on to the car’s bonnet, the driver continued to inch forward despite the woman’s efforts to prevent him from doing so.

Several bystanders were also seen looking on in confusion as the woman tried in vain to stop the moving car, nearly causing herself to get run over in the process.

Police urge woman to lodge report

The clip has since garnered more than 280,000 views at the time of writing and attracted the attention of police as well.

Port Dickson deputy district police chief Deputy Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said the incident took place near a traffic light junction at Batu 1, Port Dickson at 9.43am on Sunday (Apr 23).

He said that the woman’s act was extremely dangerous as it posed danger to herself and provoked anxiety among the public.

“So far, we have not received any police reports made by the individual involved regarding the incident.

“As such, we are urging her to come forward and file a report the Port Dickson District Police Headquarters (IPD) or any nearby police station,” he said as reported by Kosmo.

Muhamad Mustafa also added that further dissemination of the clip is a crime under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, where it carries a fine not exceeding RM50,000, a jail term of up to a year, or both.
