A dashcam video showing a white Honda Civic losing control and crashing on the side of the road leading towards Genting Highlands has recently gone viral on social media.
In the 31-second clip posted on Facebook. it showed the Honda Civic engaged in a drifting race with two other vehicles along the winding road.
Amid the roar of the engines being revved into action, the Honda Civic is seen trying to overtake another vehicle at the curve. Unfortunately, the driver lost control, sending the car right into the mountain.
The impact of the crash also caused the car to levitate slightly before crashing back down onto the roadside.
While it’s not known whether the other two cars knew the Honda Civic driver, they were seen slowing down following the accident.

Honda Civic driver had 11 summonses
According to a statement by Bentong police, the incident occurred at 7.25am on Sunday (Apr 16) at KM14.6 on Jalan Genting Highlands.
As for the driver, it was a 27-year-old man who miraculously survived the crash without any injuries and had 11 traffic summonses.
He has since been called in for questioning and police are investigating the case under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
