It’s a general rule of thumb for car owners that under no circumstances should one pump diesel right into their vehicle as it could result in damages and expensive repair bills.
With this in mind, it’s no wonder netizens were recently left flabbergasted after a woman was caught on film pumping diesel into her Proton X50, a move which is a proven recipe for disaster.
M’sian woman pumps diesel into Proton X50
In a brief 9-second clip shared on the Facebook page 古城故事多Best Food & Travel Malacca last Saturday (Dec 16), it showed a woman clad in a black t-shirt pumping fuel into her Proton X50.
But when the man behind the camera zoomed into the pump, he was shocked to see that the woman didn’t use the green-coloured pump, but instead used the black-coloured pump which contains diesel, not petrol.
And for both experienced and novice drivers, they all probably know that it’s a big no-no.
Even the OP couldn’t hold back his disbelief, where he was heard saying in the background:
Are you for real? (Proton) X50 can pump diesel meh? Hailat (gone case) lah!
‘Game over’
In the comments, netizens were equally as shocked to see the woman pumping diesel into the car as it would cause irreparable damage to it, with many saying that it was “the end” of the Proton X50.
One tried to pull a humourous spin on the incident by saying that the woman probably pumped diesel into the car on purpose so that she could have an excuse to buy a new car.
Another theorised that this was the woman’s way of getting back at her husband who came back home late often by ruining his only mode of transportation.
Whatever the reason may be, please DON’T pump diesel into your car unless you can’t wait to be poor!
