A local woman had a close call with food poisoning after she nearly consumed a curry puff which had turned mouldy on the inside.
She later took to social media to share the incident, where it has since garnered over 8,000 likes thus far.
Nearly bit into mouldy curry puff
In a Threads post, the woman posted several photos of the curry puff, where its filling was covered in fuzzy-looking and blue-green coloured mould, indicating that it had gone bad a long time ago.

She expressed relief and horror in the caption, writing:
“I really don’t want to say anything bad but…bought (the curry puff) this morning. From what era did the curry puff come from?
“Luckily, I’m the type of person who nibbles into my food just a little and checks it before eating the rest.”
The woman revealed that she had purchased the curry puff from the Siti Khadijah Market in Kota Bahru, Kelantan.

She also said she had filed a complaint to the Ministry of Health via the Public Complaints Management System (Sispaa) and is awaiting for an official response.
Disgusted reactions
Like the woman, netizens were put off by the mouldy curry puff and expressed shock over how it got sold in the first place.

One tried to lighten the mood by joking that the curry puff came in an entirely different flavour.

We’re glad the woman discovered the mould way sooner!
