Finding a parking spot at popular locations can prove to be a challenge, allowing illegal parking attendants, commonly known as ‘ulat parking’ (parking worms) to charge those desperate to park their cars.
A woman recently took to TikTok claiming that her car was vandalised by several ‘parking worms’ after she refused to pay the exorbitant fee they were asking for.

In a 23-second clip by @ballerina391, she wrote in the caption that the incident took place at Bukit Bintang.
She also recounted how she was approached by several ‘parking worms’ who told her to pay RM15 in parking fees.
They threatened me for not paying to park my car and even claimed that the entire area belonged to them. An RM15 price tag was also placed on each car.
In the end, the OP refused to pay RM15 and later returned to see her car being inflicted with a long scratch.
In another video, the OP revealed that she had lodged a report with the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and hoped that action would be taken against the ‘parking worms’.

In the comment section, netizens were outraged by the incident and slammed the lack of stern action taken by the authorities.
‘The ‘parking worms’ have been there for a long time. Why have they become so bold in doing something illegal?’
‘DBKL’s sleeping at night.’
On the other hand, one netizen argued that the problem will continue to exist as long as there were people willing to pay the parking fee, no matter how high it was.
