A simple act of kindness has the power to brighten someone’s day and restore faith in humanity.
In a heartwarming display of kindness, Malaysian food vendor Mike Tan has earned widespread praise online for his generous gesture of giving food to a man who couldn’t afford to pay for a meal.

Mike shared the touching story on his Facebook page, detailing the encounter that left many netizens inspired.
According to his post, a man approached him and said, “Boss, don’t be angry… can I pay tomorrow? I don’t have a job right now.”
Without hesitation, Mike invited the man to sit down and prepared a bowl of noodles for him.

Reflecting on the experience, in the caption he wrote:
Times are tough for many people these days. For him to ask to pay tomorrow already required a certain level of courage. And what I can give him is just this one meal to fill his stomach.”
He ended the post with a powerful statement:
The fortunate ones might be worrying about which BMW to buy, while the less fortunate are worrying about whether they can eat enough today.”
Netizens applaud the act of generosity
The post quickly went viral, garnering over 7,600 reactions and nearly 500 comments from Malaysians touched by Mike’s compassion.
One commenter praised Mike’s kind heart, saying:
“I will do the same thing. Being cheated is just a bowl of noodles. If everyone stops being kind, no one will help me when I encounter difficulties one day.”

Another added:
“No stealing or robbing, just a bowl of noodles. Give it to him. If I helped him today, sooner or later the blessing will come.”

Others wished Mike blessings for his act of kindness:
“Thank you for your compassionate heart. I wish you a prosperous business, a safe and healthy life, and good luck in everything.”
