M’sian Tourist Bus Driver Killed By Falling Rock While Bringing Tourists Around At Ipoh

In a tragic mishap at the scenic Qing Xin Ling Leisure and Cultural Village in Ipoh, a man lost his life to a falling rock yesterday morning.

The serene setting of Taman Saikat was disrupted by the sudden accident, which claimed the life of a 44-year-old tourist bus driver.

Ipoh’s Police Chief, ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, confirmed the details in a statement issued last night.

At approximately 11:30 am, passersby alerted the authorities to the calamity.

Died at the location due to severe head injuries

The driver, who had been guiding a group of Vietnamese tourists through the sights of Ipoh, suffered fatal head injuries when a sizable boulder detached and struck him as he traversed the cultural village.

He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

The body of the deceased was transferred to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for further examination.

Forensic experts at the hospital later concluded that the fatal injuries were consistent with the trauma from the rock’s impact. Investigators have found no evidence of criminal involvement in the incident.

In light of this unfortunate event, ACP Abang Zainal has called for any witnesses or individuals with relevant information to step forward.

He encourages them to contact the District Control Center (DCC) in Ipoh at 05-2542222, aiding the ongoing investigation into this sorrowful incident.
