Power of Asian Tiger mums.
When we were younger, we all would get ourselves into all kinds of trouble and shenanigans. However, there will always be one figure who strikes fear in our hearts — our mothers.

This was certainly the case for a young man who found himself in trouble with the police during a road operation and even had a panic attack when he realised that his mum would be giving him an earful.

An 18-year-old teen, who was detained during the operation, was given a total of eight summonses by police for various offenses such as using incomplete motorcycle accessories and not having a registration number and rearview mirror.

Upon receiving the summonses and realising that his mother was waiting at home for him along with a scolding, the teen suddenly had a panic attack and had to be calmed down by his friends.

One of the teen’s friends named Asrul told the Malay daily that around 30 people were returning to Johor Bahru after attending a motorcycle gathering in Rasah.

“The gathering began at 8:30 pm and ended at midnight. We all really wanted to go back because we all have to work tomorrow.

“However, we never expected to be detained by the police, and my friend has never been experienced it before so he was really shocked,” he said.

Over 200 summonses issued

The operation, which took place from 3am to 4.40am, also saw 121 motorcycles getting inspected and 236 summonses being issued by the Seremban Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) and Negeri Sembilan State Police Contingent Headquarters JSPT.

Six motorcycles were also confiscated and three individuals arrested under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
