At the end of every exam season, high performing students would often be rewarded with gifts from teachers or parents as a form of motivation and praise.
A student snagged himself a PlayStation 5 after he scored 9As for SPM, much to the delight of his teacher.
Teacher gifts student with a PS5
In a post shared to the the PS5 Malaysia Gang’s Facebook group, Siva Gopalakrishnan posted a picture of him posing with one of his students who scored 9As for SPM along with a PlayStation 5 (PS5).
Congratulations to my student who scored straight A’s for SPM 2022. What’s more, he scored an A in Additional Mathematics, a subject which I taught.
He mentioned that it’s a rare case for a student and a teacher to both be gamers and said his student’s interest in gaming was the reason he bought him the PS5.
Siva also posted a 30-second clip of him presenting the gaming console to the student in the presence of other teachers.
‘Why not me?’
The post has since gone viral and garnered much attention from netizens, who were lowkey jealous of the student’s gift.
Some even joked that they wished to go back to their student days so that they could get themselves a PS5 too.
Others praised Siva for his generosity in providing such a lavish gift for the student.
