Teachers often have to deal with multiple situations, with some ranging from serious matters to the downright ridiculous.
A teacher recently took to social media to share how a parent brazenly asked for the answer key to her child’s exam paper, an exchange that left her feeling shocked by the state of parenting nowadays.
‘Can send me the answers?’
In a Threads post, the OP shared a screenshot of a conversation she had with one of her student’s mother.
After greeting the OP, the mother asks whether the answer key of her child’s exam, which was scheduled to be held the next day, could be given to her.

Not quite believing what she had just read, the OP asks the parent whether she truly meant it when she requested for the answer key, which the latter responded with a “Yes”.
In response, the OP firmly rejected the mother’s request by quipping: “Of course cannot. It’s an exam!”
She added in the post caption that the mother merely replied with an “Ohhh okay” when she realised she wasn’t going to get what she asked for.
Netizens’ reactions
In the comment section, netizens expressed strong objections towards the parent’s action, saying it was not only outrageous but also an example of bad parenting.
‘Sorry to ask but is it her first time being a parent or going to school?’

‘I feel parents nowadays are going overboard because they now have access to message teachers directly. During our parents’ era, where could they WhatsApp/message teachers? Parents are getting weirded these days. The audacity to ask for exam answer. Cannot brain this.’

However, some casted doubt on the conversation and said most likely it was the student pretending to be the mother while texting the OP.
