A man recently dined at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur and was left in shock after discovering that an iced Teh O cost him RM11.
On May 31st, Malaysian motivational speaker Mohd Fadly Samin shared his experience on his personal Facebook page about the encounter.
RM11 Ice Teh O

He posted about his recent dining experience at PWTC, where he ended up spending a total of RM29.
According to the receipt he shared, Fadly ordered traditional Malay cuisine Lontong, a take-away of fried noodles, and an iced Teh O, priced at RM12, RM6, and RM11 respectively.
For many consumers, paying a higher price for food and beverages is acceptable as long as the quality meets their expectations.
Typically cost RM2
However, Fadly couldn’t help but feel a sense of regret when he realized that a drink that typically costs around RM2 at a local mamak stall was priced so steeply.
Fadly noted that the food prices at the restaurant seemed standard and comparable to other eateries.
However, what shocked him the most was the RM11 price tag for a single iced Teh O.
The photos he posted showed the iced Teh O in a cup that looked no different from those used in regular coffee shops.
